How to Back Up iPhone/iPad Photos to Mac/PC with Folder/Album Structure

With HashPhotos’ Export Album/Folder feature, you can quickly back up iPhone/iPad photos to a Mac/PC while preserving your folder/album structure.

Your Mac/PC and iPhone/iPad must be on the same network.
File sharing settings can affect your computer’s security, so please do this on a trusted network.

Connect to your shared computer in the iPhone/iPad Files app

  1. Open Files app on iPhone/iPad.
  2. Tap Actions Button actions button at the top-right of the screen.
  3. Tap Connect to Server on the menu.

  4. In the Server field, enter the computer name or IP address of the computer you enabled sharing on.

    If you use a computer name, add .local to the end. Example: MyMac.local, MyPC.local

  5. Tap Connect.

Make sure the computer appears in the Shared section on the Files app’s Browse screen, and that you can open it and see shared folders.

Export Album/Folder in HashPhotos

  1. Open the left sidebar.

  2. Touch and hold (long-press) the album or folder you want to export.

  3. Select Export Album/Folder from the menu.

  4. Select the computer you connected to in Browse > Shared.

  5. Select the destination folder, then tap Open.

Export All Albums/Folders

To export all folders/albums, tap Actions Button actions button next to the Albums section title, then select Export All Albums....
